Meet Bronwyn Northcott.
About me:
I am a Paediatric OT who has been working with children with predominantly neurological conditions since beginning my OT career. I have worked for non-for-profit organisations as a Key Worker, as an OT in mainstream schools and as a Teaching Associate in the undergraduate OT course at Monash University. I have also spent the last 4 years within the Victorian Paediatric Rehab Service (VPRS) and in an Infant Assessment clinic at a busy metro hospital. These roles have given me a rounded experience and allow me to provide evidence based OT to children in their communities as a mobile therapist.
To assist me in my role, I have further training in;
Modified CIMT and Bimanual therapy
Mini Assisting Hand Assessment (mini AHA), Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA) and Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI)
Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE)
Learn to Play play therapy
Complex equipment prescription
Basic home modifications
Toilet training
Trauma informed care and parenting support
